Need Extra Help? How Our Local Family Services Support Parents

While children thrive in a quality early education environment, we know that parents often need their own support system to navigate the many ups and downs of family life.

At Woodville Alliance, we don’t just look after your child while you’re at work. We offer a genuine path of support for your parenting journey, backed by a 40-year history as a reputable, not-for-profit provider deeply rooted in the Western Sydney community.

Early Learning at Carramar: The Foundation for Your Child

Our Early Learning & Care centre in Carramar is designed to be the foundation for your children’s growth. Led by a dedicated, female-led team of expert educators, we focus on more than just daily care.

Our commitment to the National Quality Standard (NQS) ensures that we meet the education and care standards for providing safe, high-quality education for your child. We understand the needs of busy families, which is why we also offer convenient hours from 7 am to 5.30pm in a learning environment that is always culturally respectful and inclusive.

Supporting the Parent: Community and Family Services (CaFS)

A unique part of the Woodville Alliance difference is our Community Hubs, where our professional social workers and caseworkers support the parents’ side of the journey. We offer a range of free services designed to help local families build their own networks and skills:

  • Supported Playgroups: A safe space for children to play while parents connect to build vital social connections with others in the community.
  • Parenting Workshops: Evidence-based program designed to build your confidence and provide you with practical parenting skills.
  • After school family activities and Kids’ Holiday Programs: Engaging and fun activities to support families during the busy school holiday breaks.

Integrated Care: Extra Help When Life Gets Complex

Sometimes, family life requires a bit more than a workshop or a playgroup. Our team are trained to help parents identify when they might benefit from more specialised family support. Through our Community Hubs, we provide professional assistance to help you manage difficult life stages.

Goal-Oriented Community Casework

Our community casework provides one-on-one help for families navigating transitions or challenges. Casework is often identified through referrals from schools or other community services, though you are always welcome to self-refer if you feel you need support.

When a child or family is identified as needing extra help, a caseworker is assigned to help set specific goals, such as improving school attendance or managing stress at home. If family counselling is required, it is provided as a goal-oriented part of this casework. This is typically limited to a specific number of weeks to ensure you are getting the focused support you need to move forward.

The Woodville Difference: Cultural Safety and Local Trust

We move beyond commercial interests to offer the extra layers of support that Western Sydney families rely on.

  • CALD Expertise: Our diverse, bilingual staff understand the unique cultural backgrounds and needs of our local community.
  • Not for Profit Value: As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest in the parenting support services that make a real difference to local families.
  • Expertise You Can Trust: We are a safe, reputable organisation with accredited services and a long legacy of community presence.
