Our Community Stories

Brendon shares how Homework Club, Kids Club and holiday activities have helped his daughter over the past three years. He talks about growing confidence, friendships and staying on top of schoolwork.

“We have a great relationship with the Woodville Alliance staff here, and we feel very warm and welcome.”

"Your Woodville program has consistently been the most effective and practical wellbeing program we’ve had. The knowledge and skills you deliver really fit the needs of our students. Even the casual teacher told me personally that she felt your program was the most valuable. I hardly ever get this kind of universal positive feedback from almost all teachers regarding an external provider." -

E.Zhao (EAL/D Teacher, Holroyd High School)

"It's a very heartwarming experience to see children grow up in front of us, and I think these families consider us like part of their families." -

Preeti (CaFS Team Member)

"Regular 'Linker' meetings with local services have helped close gaps so families do not fall through" -

Woodville Alliance team

"Woodville Alliance have been an important link for our client and his mum… Without their assistance, we wouldn't have been able to advocate for the appropriate support." -

Support Coordinator

“The program has helped me better understand healthy and unhealthy relationships.” -

We’re excited to introduce one of the newer faces in our Meet Our ELC Educators series — Miss Sarah.

In her first few months at Woodville Alliance, Sarah has already built strong connections with the children — something she values most in her role. For her, it’s the trust, smiles and everyday interactions that make early learning so meaningful.

With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and speaking Chinese and some Vietnamese, Sarah brings warmth and care into the classroom, helping children feel comfortable, supported and ready to learn.

From celebrating special events to sharing quiet moments of connection, Sarah is already making a positive impact on our ELC community.

As we wrap up our Meet Our ELC Educators series for now, we thank you for getting to know the incredible people behind our Early Learning and Care — a team dedicated to creating safe, nurturing environments where every child can thrive. 💛

There’s nothing better than seeing a child smile — and for Miss Dalia, that’s what it’s all about.

As part of our Meet Our ELC Educators series, we’re introducing Dalia, who has been with Woodville Alliance for 3 years.
With a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and speaking English and Arabic, Dalia brings energy and positivity into the classroom every day. She loves creating fun, engaging moments — from playtime to singing along to favourites like Baby Shark! 🎶

For Dalia, it’s the simple things that matter most — children feeling happy, confident and excited to learn.
At Woodville Alliance, these everyday moments help build a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

What does great early learning look like?

For Miss Alfi, it’s about understanding how each child learns — and adapting in the moment to support their growth.
With 3.5 years at Woodville Alliance and as an Accredited Conditional Teacher, Alfie brings a thoughtful, curious approach to the classroom. She speaks English and Indonesian and values the everyday exchange of ideas — not just with children, but with fellow educators too.

From classic stories like Three Little Pigs to signing along to Sing a Rainbow, Alfie creates learning experiences that are playful, inclusive and meaningful.
And outside the classroom? You’ll likely find her exploring new places in search of great coffee.

Because at Woodville Alliance, it’s educators like Alfi who keep learning alive — for everyone.

This Anzac Day, we remember and honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served our country.
It’s a time to reflect, connect, and appreciate the values of courage, resilience, and community that continue to shape us today.

Lest we forget.

At our Early Learning and Care Centre, it’s not just educators who shape a child’s day — it’s the whole team behind the scenes.

This week, we’re introducing Miss Wendy, our wonderful ELC Cook, who has been part of Woodville Alliance for 8 years.

Wendy prepares nutritious, delicious meals that fuel children’s learning, play and growth every day (and yes — her famous noodle salad is a staff favourite!). 🍜
Fluent in English and Vietnamese, Wendy brings care and community into everything she does — ensuring mealtimes are not just about food, but about comfort, routine and connection.

Because a nurturing environment starts with the little things — including a warm, healthy meal made with care.
