No SDA (specialist disability accommodation ) funding required. At 3 Blacket Place, West Hoxton, you’ll find an accessible and modern home designed for independence and community. This property is particularly well-suited for NDIS participants residing in the Fairfield, Liverpool, and Canterbury-Bankstown Council areas. 

Each resident enjoys their own room and ensuite, with wheelchair access throughout. You’ll benefit from being close to convenient shops and public transport, plus easy access to our Bonnyrigg Hub for day services. Shared overnight nurse care is also available. 

While this home is currently full, we welcome you to keep in touch for existing disability support and future SIL opportunities across South West Sydney.

Supported Independent Living Explained

Supported Independent Living is, also known as SIL, an NDIS support service funded in an NDIS plan.

SIL involves supervision and assistance with daily everyday tasks to help people with disabilities live as independently as possible. Woodville offers this service as part of a shared home environment.

The support we offer is flexible and can adapt as your needs change. Together we will work with you through every step as you progress towards your ideal SIL home.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a type of NDIS-funded support that helps people with disability live as independently as possible in shared or individual housing. It includes help with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, personal care, and developing everyday life skills. Woodville offers this service as part of a shared home environment.

Eligibility is assessed by the NDIS based on your goals, current living situation, and support needs.

SIL can include support with:

  • Personal care (e.g. showering, dressing)
  • Household tasks (e.g. meals, cleaning, laundry)
  • Medication management
  • Developing independent living skills
  • Social and community participation support (depending on your plan)

Note: SIL funding covers support, not rent, utilities, or food.

Request an internal review through the NDIA. If you are still not satisfied, seek an external review – this is done through the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, or seek legal assistance.

  • You can contact the NDIA itself to make a complaint about issues with access, planning, decisions or service delivery
  • You can make a complaint to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • You can complain to the Commonwealth Ombudsman
  • You can contact an advocacy service

It is an independent government agency responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of services for registered providers.
