Nurturing Minds Through Expert Early Learning Programs

As a not-for-profit early learning & care centre with over 20 years of experience, we’re proud to offer an environment that sparks growth, fun, and learning. Our educators, from a wide range of backgrounds, help us build strong community connections, right next door to Carramar Public School.

We offer a variety of programs tailored to meet the needs of children at different stages of their early years.

Early Learning Curriculum (Preschool ages 3-5 years)

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), a key component of the National Quality Framework, which has been developed by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to assist educators in providing young children throughout Australia with the best start to their educational journey. The framework focuses on achieving specific outcomes for students:

  • Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity.
  • Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world.
  • Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
  • Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.
  • Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators.

We integrate these outcomes into our daily activities to ensure a holistic approach to your child’s development at our early learning centre.

Inside Early Learning & Care

At Woodville Alliance, we believe in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to thrive. Each day, we carefully plan and set up both the indoor and outdoor areas.

We include a variety of experiences so that children explore all areas of development – physical, social, intellectual. Here’s a glimpse into a day at our early learning centre:

Joeys Room

The Joeys Room is for our 1–3 years old children. The program offered in this room is focused around the EYLF. Aspects include: Development of sensory and motor skills through play. Introduction to social interactions in a caring environment. Creative activities such as painting and music time.

Kangaroo Room

The Kangaroo Room is for our 3-5 years old children. The program in this room provides a focus on the EYLF and School Readiness Skills. Aspects include: Preparing for school with literacy and numeracy games. Building independence with daily routines. Exploring nature through outdoor activities.

Talk To Our Team

Our Commitment to Safety and Wellbeing

At Woodville Alliance Early Learning & Care, every child has the right to be safe, cared for and respected.

Our philosophy guides everything we do, recognising that children are capable, curious and competent learners who grow through play, relationships and belonging. We see safety as more than physical protection. It also means ensuring every child feels safe to be themselves, to share their culture, language and beliefs, and to learn in an environment where they are valued, heard and included.

Our educators follow the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and Woodville’s Child Safe Policy, working in partnership with families to uphold the highest standards for child safety, inclusion and wellbeing.

How We Keep Children Safe Every Day

Each day, our educators bring our philosophy to life through meaningful relationships, safe and inclusive environments, and practices that protect and empower children.

Together with families, we create a community where every child feels secure, respected and free to learn, play and express who they are.

Educators work to ensure culturally safe, healthy and welcoming spaces where children feel secure, respected and valued.

We advocate for children’s rights and ensure their voices are heard in daily decisions that affect their care and learning.

We respect and celebrate cultural diversity and heritage, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives embedded in our daily practice.

We build authentic and respectful relationships with families, providing regular personalised updates on the progress of their children’s learning.

We maintain correct educator-to-child ratios, ensure supervision at all times, and follow clear checks to protect children from harm in the centre and during excursions.

We work in partnership with parents and carers, respecting their perspectives and supporting their role as the child’s first and most important educators.

Meet Our Early Learning & Care Team

A Warm Welcome from Our Centre Director

Meet Shery, the heart of our Carramar family for over 9 years.

I believe that Woodville Alliance is more than just a centre; it is a community where every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and capable. Having led this team for 9 years as a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, my passion remains seeing our children grow in confidence and discover their unique strengths every single day.

I grew up in Egypt and have called Australia home for 20 years, so I speak both English and Arabic and truly understand the importance of building a welcoming ‘home away from home’ for our children.

When I am not at the centre, you will usually find me enjoying a good cup of coffee or getting lost in a great book. My door is always open to discuss your child’s journey and how we can best support your family.

Hear From Our ELC Community

At Woodville Alliance, families are an essential part of our learning community. In this short video, Maryana shares her family’s experience with our Early Learning & Care services, from what makes it special, the difference she has seen in her child’s confidence and learning, and the sense of belonging they’ve found.

“The staff are professional. They treat all the children with care and respect. As a parent, I always feel welcome when I pick up and drop my kids to the centre.”

Below, a few of our other families also share their own experiences with our Early Learning & Care.

“My children are looked after by passionate educators who love what they are doing. They have met my child’s needs, and the environment is fantastic. All educators in the centre know my child well, even if they are not caring for his room and are not directly responsible for his care-great team.” - Parent
“The educators and the environment are amazing. My daughter was hard to settle in the beginning, but because of what they did she loves school now. We tried many other services but she only settled in this childcare and have many friends now. We like to refer it to our family and friends.” Parent
“Our daughter goes to the childcare centre with a smile on her face each time. She has learned so much thanks to all the educators. The staff is so incredible and professional and always easy to talk to. Our daughter amazes us so much since she has started at the centre. We are very grateful to all the educators who help her growing.” Parent
“The team is so good and always teaching different things to our children. Every time my children go to the childcare they came back with new learning stuff and surprise us. We are very happy with the service they provide for our family.” Parent
“Love the staff they are so nice with us and each one of them cares and has passion for what they are doing. My son love going to school.” Parent
“I am planning to enroll my one-year-old child next year and would recommend this Carramar child care for all my family and friends.” Parent

“Childcare was needed, and the older siblings used to attend the service and had very good learning. When they moved to school they were ready for the big school and well-equipped with the skills needed for the new learning stage.” Parent

What does great early learning look like?

For Miss Alfi, it’s about understanding how each child learns — and adapting in the moment to support their growth.
With 3.5 years at Woodville Alliance and as an Accredited Conditional Teacher, Alfie brings a thoughtful, curious approach to the classroom. She speaks English and Indonesian and values the everyday exchange of ideas — not just with children, but with fellow educators too.

From classic stories like Three Little Pigs to signing along to Sing a Rainbow, Alfie creates learning experiences that are playful, inclusive and meaningful.
And outside the classroom? You’ll likely find her exploring new places in search of great coffee.

Because at Woodville Alliance, it’s educators like Alfi who keep learning alive — for everyone.
