Community is better when we come together. 🌭💙
A huge thank you to Beyond Bank Australia for partnering with Woodville Alliance to support our weekly BBQ at our Canley Vale Hub.
Over the next 12 weeks, Beyond Bank is generously sponsoring the $5 participation fee for every Woodville Alliance participant, helping make this much-loved community activity even more accessible.
Today marked the first BBQ of the partnership, with Brent and Andrew from Beyond Bank rolling up their sleeves to volunteer alongside us. They fired up the BBQ, served delicious sausage sandwiches and hamburgers, shared conversations with participants and even surprised everyone with ice blocks on a beautiful day.
Partnerships like this are about so much more than sponsorship—they're about creating opportunities for connection, inclusion and belonging in our community.
Thank you, Beyond Bank, for investing your time, generosity and community spirit. We look forward to many more BBQ Wednesdays together!

🤝 Building connections through community
Yesterday, our Community and Family Services team had the pleasure of partnering with the Asylum Seeker Centre Auburn for a day of learning, connection and fun.
The day began with a practical cyber safety workshop, providing participants with information and tips to help them stay safe and confident online. We then headed outdoors to enjoy a shared lunch, games and activities that created plenty of opportunities for conversation, laughter and new friendships.
At Woodville Alliance, we believe that strong communities are built through connection. Collaborations like these bring people together, strengthen social networks and create welcoming spaces where everyone feels they belong.
A big thank you to the team at the Asylum Seeker Centre Auburn for your partnership and hospitality. We look forward to continuing to work together to support and connect our local community. 💙🧡

Celebrating NAIDOC Week across Western Sydney 🖤💛❤️
This NAIDOC Week, our Community & Family Services team was proud to join community celebrations at two local events—one at Fairfield Showground in partnership with Fairfield City Council, and another in Bankstown alongside Canterbury-Bankstown Council.
Families enjoyed henna art, creative craft activities and a lucky draw, while our team shared information about the programs and support available through Woodville Alliance.
Beyond the activities, these celebrations were a wonderful opportunity to welcome new families, make referrals, and strengthen relationships with local organisations and community partners. Every conversation helps build the connections that create opportunities for children, families and our wider community.
Thank you to Fairfield City Council and Canterbury-Bankstown Council for bringing people together to celebrate NAIDOC Week. We are proud to stand alongside our community in recognising and celebrating the enduring culture, strength and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
